Founder and Principal Teacher of

Diamond Logos® International Academy

Faisal Muqaddam

For more than five decades, Faisal Muqaddam has explored the meeting point between spirituality, psychology, embodiment, and the realization of essence.

His work has contributed to the articulation of a path centered on the individuated soul and the integration of human and spiritual development.

A Life Devoted to Inner Realization

Faisal Muqaddam is the originator of the Diamond Logos® Teachings and co-originator, together with A.H. Almaas, of the spiritual path known as the Diamond Approach. For more than five decades, his work has explored the meeting point between essence, embodiment, psychology, and spiritual realization.

Born in Kuwait in 1946, Faisal’s early search was shaped by a profound inner longing for truth and direct experience. His path brought him into contact with multiple traditions of inner work, including Sufism, Buddhism, Reichian therapy, the Enneagram, bioenergetics, and contemplative inquiry.

Beginning his teaching work in the early 1970s, he guided groups and individuals throughout the Middle East before expanding his work into the United States and later Europe. His teaching developed through years of experiential exploration, psychological understanding, and direct realization.

Rather than separating spirituality from human life, Faisal’s approach emphasizes the integration of realization within embodiment, relationship, emotional development, and the unfolding of the individuated soul. His work has contributed to a deeper understanding of how essential qualities can become accessible through direct inquiry and lived experience.

Over the years, thousands of students have encountered his teaching through retreats, trainings, public talks, and long-term spiritual work. Today, Faisal continues to teach internationally while supporting the ongoing development and transmission of the Diamond Logos® path.

Teaching and Realization

In 1973, Faisal began teaching in Kuwait and throughout the Middle East. By 1980, he expanded his work into the United States, teaching in California, Colorado, and Hawaii. In 1996, he began offering teachings and retreats throughout Europe.

In 1976, Faisal describes a decisive realization of the absolute nature of Buddhahood through the grace and guidance of Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche. Over the following decades, his work continued to evolve through direct experience and extensive work with students from different cultures and traditions.

Diamond Approach

Between 1979 and 1986, Faisal worked intensively with A.H. Almaas in the exploration and formulation of what became known as the Diamond Approach.

During this period, the Ridhwan School was formed, and Faisal served in leadership roles within the Ridhwan Foundation, including as chairman for a period of time.

This collaboration played an important role in articulating the understanding of essence and objective inquiry that would later evolve further through the Diamond Logos® Teachings.

Continuing the Evolution of the Work

Since the late 1980s, Faisal has continued developing the Diamond Logos® Teachings through the integration of the Enneagram, essence work, embodiment practices, and depth psychology.

The work explores the relationship between personality structures, essential qualities, objective consciousness, and the unfolding of the soul’s unique potential.

Over time, the teachings have evolved into a comprehensive psycho-spiritual path that supports both realization and embodiment.

The Development of the Diamond Logos® Teachings

Over decades of inquiry and teaching, Faisal’s work gradually evolved toward a deeper exploration of the individuated soul and the integration of essence within ordinary human life.

His teachings emphasize the possibility of inhabiting the worldly, essential, and absolute dimensions simultaneously, without bypassing the psychological or embodied aspects of experience.

This orientation became the foundation of the Diamond Logos® Teachings — a path centered on experiential understanding, objective consciousness, and the realization of the essential self

Rather than moving away from human life in pursuit of transcendence, the work invites the integration of realization within lived experience.

The teachings support the unfolding of consciousness through inquiry, embodiment, direct experience. and the recognition of essential qualities within the soul

“

The essential domain became open and accessible.
